One book I read for my summer reading was The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon. This book opens up in the first person point of view by an autistic kid named Christopher Boone. Christopher walks through his neighborhood and he sees his neighbor’s dog is dead. This makes him very sad and he goes to the dog and holds it. The owner of the dog, Wellington, sees Christopher holding the dog and thinks he killed it.
