Asperger’s syndrome is a disorder that prevents one from developing healthy social and communication skills. In the mystery novel, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, written by Mark Haddon, the main character, Christopher John Francis Booth, suffers from Asperger’s syndrome. Christopher is a 15 year old boy who experiences many hardships throughout the novel because of his disability. The book though, is not about his syndrome and hardships. It focuses more on his “murder mystery”, which is solving who killed his neighbor, Eileen Shears’, dog named Wellington.
