The Deadening of Human Interaction due to Technology We are currently in the 21st Century and it is clearly obvious that technology is here to stay. Technology, as we all know, is making huge advancements which can help society greatly. However, technology has caused humans to become isolated from society. The novel, Fahrenheit 451, written by Ray Bradbury, is written about a fictional society where, to the reader, is a dystopia. In this society, people are burning books and becoming all but literally connected to technology. In this dystopia, there are no emotions and the civilians care more about themselves and their technology rather than other people. It is appalling to know that our world is becoming more like this. Technology is now posing a threat in today’s world and for multiple reasons. Technology breaks off into many branches, for examples, televisions, music players and mobile devices such as cell phones, which along with them, comes social media. All of these devices have taken its toll on humans interacting with one another. In Fahrenheit 451, technology is cutting-edge and people are attached to it. Along with these people come houses that have at least one television that is the size of an entire wall. Televisions may not seem like an immediate threat, but in the society of Fahrenheit 451, they are. From these televisions, come shows that “interact” with the audience so the viewers falsely perceive that they are a part of the show. To describe why this
