In the tragedy, Hamlet, by William Shakespeare, two main characters have been separated from beloved family members physically and emotionally. In the play, the loss of Hamlet's father causes him to decline mentally . Not only did he lose his father physically, he also lost his mother emotionally. Ophelia’s loss of her father causes her to break down . Within Hamlet the theme of revenge is prominent and some of these deaths are the reason for several characters insanity. Prince Hamlet goes through a great metamorphosis, he changes from an average responsible king to a mad, raging son. The death of his father has caused him to be grief stricken and depressed. A ghost that is claiming to be his father further aggravates his grief and causes
