“Center Field” The book I'm reviewing is "Center Field" by Robert Lipsyte. The book is about a kid named Mike Semak. Mike is a star center fielder for his high school baseball team. His life was going great.
During the book Shattered, Ian shows several different character traits. Snobbish, selfish, confused, scared, helpful, generous and mature. In the beginning of the book, Ian is quite snobbish. In the text, Ian thought all the homeless people were “crazy” since he's a typical stuck up rich kid and thought that he has better than everybody else. I feel that Ian was also selfish because he only worked at the soup kitchen because he had to (or else he would fail his class).
The dynamic between the two brothers is quite interesting since they seem at first not to have a lot in common. Their behavior and actions demonstrate perfectly the differences between the two brothers. One could underline the fact that the dynamic between the two brothers is different from what we previously seen in Tex or The Outsiders because Peter and Edmund have two sisters. Edmund does not seem to accept the changes occurring during his stay in the Professor’s house.

Barbra Bush once said,”I think togetherness is a very important ingredient to family life.” You need to be close to your family no matter what. What would you do if you believe that your brother is the reason for your parent’s death? Rot & Ruin is a story that teaches a valuable lesson that is true for even a modern teen; It teaches on how family is important, and how you should have a strong relationship with your family.
Station Eleven is a story filled with many different plotlines and backstories, all intricately woven together to paint a fascinating image of life after the Georgia Flu pandemic. The character development is one of the most intriguing parts of the novel, as the reader is surprised again and again with the actions and connections of each figure. Many of the characters enter both as background members in some scenes and as main characters in others, so that their stories flow smoothly with the others. Two characters that this can be applied to are Tyler, Arthur’s son, and Kirsten, a child actor turned into a performer with a travelling groupe after the near-extinction of the human race. They both grew and developed out of this tragedy, being
The support of friends and family can help contribute to a character's ability to overcome difficulties. In The One Safe Place by Tania Unsworth, Devin was able to overcome his problems with the help of his friends and family. Devin's grandfather helps Devin overcome his difficulties throughout the story. At the beginning of the book, Devin was struggling to take care of the farm on his own when his grandfather died and remembered his grandfather once said: "' You'll go there someday too, Dev.' His grandfather had told him 'When you're ready to leave.'"

Graphic images affect how any reader sees or reads an image. In a book where a character gets beat up, a bloody image will affect the reader more than an image where there is no blood. Marjane Satrapi’s use of graphic images in her book, Persepolis, affect how the reader sees social classes, loss of innocence and gender roles in Iranian culture. One might think a situation is not a big deal, but when a graphic image portrays the situation, a reader truly sees the importance of the situation. In the book, Persepolis, one major theme throughout is social classes.
Where the Wild Things are by Maurice Sendak is an interesting children’s picture book. The main character is a little boy named Max, who has a wild imagination. He uses all five senses as well as thought and his actions to express his personality as well as how he reacts and interacts with his surroundings. Max’s id, ego and super-ego are greatly shown in this book through the way that the author has portrayed him. Not only is this book a children’s story, but it can also be perceived as a life lesson.

“Good Deeds is a movie written, co-produced by a well-known writer and actor named Tyler Perry. It was not written from any other book, play, or comedy. The movie follows all adapted material because was orderly written. One interesting thing about the movie “Good Deed” is that the plot in the movie is very detailed and understandable. It does not lose the audience attention by going from one point to the next point.
Climate change is a topic many people would not consider a main issue when speaking of major problems in the U.S., but in fact is of great importance. Rising sea level, increased temperatures over the last 40 or so years, an increase in extreme weather events, and an increase in water vapor in the atmosphere are all examples of the negative effects of climate change, and the fact that not many presidential candidates are focused on this major issue is a big problem. However, there are some who are willing and passionate enough to fight for this change. For example, Bernie Sanders, an independent candidate, has stressed the importance of this issue and what he will do to prevent climate change from affecting us dramatically in the future, and
