Prior to World War 2 Jewish people were the main family or culture that the Nazi’s been feeding off of and killing approximately 6,000 each day. Which led to 6.5 million Jews dead at the end of the war and a few survivors. Although one of these few survivors was Otto Frank, father of Anne Frank, Diarist of one of the most famous diaries, “The Diary of Anne Frank.” World War 2 was a devastating event that changed how Jews lived because because they were said to be “Divergent.” How I felt about the events covered in the Diary of Anne Frank was dramatically depressing.
This quote from Anne’s diary shows how the Germans treated the Jewish people and how unfair this treatment was. Anne did not identify herself the way the Germans did. She viewed herself as normal at this time and was still focusing her time on being an average girl with all her
In the beginning of the story, Anne is very emotional because she had to leave her friends and old life behind. Our class witnessed two different versions of the story, a play and a movie, but even though these are based off of the same book, they have several differences and similarities. There were many similarities between the play and the movie. The first one I will address is that in both Miep
In conclusion, I believe that an important theme in The Diary of Anne Frank, is faith or having faith. The idea is to have an idea or entity that you can seek comfort with when everything has gone wrong or horrible. I believe what Anne learned in the end was to always believe in a greater good, have optimism, or a belief. At the end she says that she still believes in spite of everything, that people, no matter what, are good at
In the text The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett the theme is, you can always find the positive in a negative situation. In the beginning of the text, Anne Frank talks about how she is going into hiding because the Germans invaded. The Frank family had to go into hiding while the Nazis took over with another family. Anne and her family are forced to leave a lot of their belongings at home. Anne thinks that this is going to be really challenging and very unfortunate.
The Holocaust was a very scary day for the Jew in the Netherlands. Hitler was trying to take power. Also World War Two was going on at the time this was happening. Not to mention Anne Frank was a Holocaust survivor. In addition to that Anne Frank was always Brave, Cautious, and very Thoughtful while she was living in the Secret Annex with the Van Danns.
Have you ever been in a situation where you have to choose hope or fear? I believe hope is stronger than fear. Some great sources are are Diary of Anne Frank play which is about a girl who had to hide from the Nazis during WWII, and the poem Homesick which is about someone living the ghettos and does not have much to eat. What is stronger, hope or fear? The Diary of Anne Frank is a great source.
In “The Diary of Anne Frank” the historical events outside of the annex greatly affected the mood people inside. “The Diary of Anne Frank” was copied by Annes father who had made 1,500 copies after she had passed. This play will tell you about how Anne had felt and everything she had gone through during this time. During this was the Holocaust which was a terrible time for the Jews, which was why Albert Hackett had used this young girl's diary to show the feelings of someone really in a troubled situation. This was also during the Nazis invading the Netherlands and World War II.
Somehow, even through the bad, Anne still managed to be happy. This is inspiring to me and makes me think that I should be more grateful for what I have and find more happiness in my
The 1940s were a crucial time all over the world with hardships and wars going on for years. Within these wars, two little girls that have been apart of it their whole lives, have shared their experiences through a diary and a book of stories. The Diary of Anne Frank is about a young jewish girl named Anne Frank, who has to go into hiding with her family in order to not get caught and taken away by the Nazis in Amsterdam, and while in hiding, records her experiences and thoughts into her diary. Farewell to Manzanar is a book based on a girl named Jeanne Wakatsuki who is seven years old at the time, and gets taken away with her family to Manzanar encampments, as the U.S. government doesn’t want to risk any Japanese Americans possibly giving up information to the Japanese as they are at war with them. Anne Frank and Jeanne Wakatsuki have many similarities and differences throughout their lifetimes on the run from the war.

The best class to use Anne Frank’s diary in would be a life skills class because of how Anne shows how she deals with her own emotions and problems while she is in hiding. Life skills is a class that teaches students about being prepared, as well as physical, mental, and emotional health. First of all, students can learn how to deal with unpleasant situations. Some ways that Anne dealt with unpleasant situations were thinking about it, going to people that she trusted, doing things that she liked, and (obviously) writing in her diary. These are all learned social skills that can benefit students.
Anne wrote one of the greatest books in history, not just because she wrote it but because of how it provided the world with how the concentration camps were and what they had to go through. Anne also had multiple books, another one of her book is called Anne Frank the Book, The Life and Afterlife (Francine Prose Explores Anne Frank's Literary Genius). The same diary Anne had when she was thirteen was the same one that was published. Whoever thought that the simple words of a young teenage girl caught in the middle of wartime Europe, would touch the hearts of many people. In her diary Anne Frank detailed her hopes, dreams, fears and sadness.
Is it really efficient to respond to conflict in violent ways, if in the end, it never makes a difference? The most efficient ways to respond to conflict are through a positive attitude, perseverance, and resilience. It is important to understand why problems occur, so they can be easily resolved. Being the ¨leader¨ of the situation, and ¨killing with kindness¨ are solutions that work in many conflicts. Many times, the problem between two people is fixed because of someone making a nice gesture, comment, etc.
