Nature is something that can be observed on television such as “The Natural Channel” or “The Discovery Channel” rather than virtual real life. In this breathtaking essay, Louv uses different syntax structure throughout the passage, unity diction and imagery to demonstrate his argument about the separation between people and nature. Louv starts straight off the bat by displaying varieties of syntax structure. He first would use a well organize sentence like” Researches at the….wings.” (Louv, Line 4) to set the setting right at the being. As the passage slowly progresses he then uses quotes from people experience that lines up with the reader’s experience. “There are countless….its weight” This quote illustrates that connection. Once this demonstration is completed, Louv starts to build a bond with the readers where he would use short sentences to demonstrate his purpose. “But she knew where to draw the line.” (Louv, line 29) This quote demonstrates that there are some people who recognize the value of nature and to spread the influence once again because people are being detached from it.
