I enjoyed researching about The Discovery of Uranus by William Herschcel. He was a musical but he was motivated because he wanted to discover some of the secrets of the universe. Even though he was an organist he loved reading and had a lot of interest in science. He read books of other astronomers and read about their discoveries, this made him want to know more. He built his own telescope because he wanted to see more and when he thought he spotted Uranus he asked, Is that a star?, Is that a comet? It was neither one but a planet. This discovery was significant because it is the 7th planet in our solar system. It was observed before but never said to have been a planet.
