Students use different study methods and study in different environments. Majority of students in this century study with background music. According to Rudy Miller (2015) who holds her masters’ degree in English and arts, 53% of students multitask while studying and 87% of those students chose to listen to music. This source is seen as valid source since it proves the hypothesis although there were some differences such as they performed the experiment with normal noises and some background music whereas the aim of this experiment is to prove that listening to hip- hop music while studying is a distraction and the people who did the experiment are still studying towards their
