Emmitt Smith is a star running back that is retried but he played for the Dallas Cowboys for fifteen seasons seasons he also played for the Arizona Cardinals for three seasons then got a one day one dollar contract with the Dallas cowboys and retired the next day. Emmitt Smith accomplished many things throughout his lifetime. Emmett's childhood was far from good he has been through a lot throughout his childhood from guns being shot in his neighborhood to people asking him to give them drugs.
He was a very humble dude and he never bragged about stuff. An example is in high school when they had won the championship and he stated that it was a team effort but he kinda carried the team is my understanding. Another example is when he saw the twin towers crumble with his own eyes and in his mind he knew he had to do something about it. If he wasn't modest I don't think he would have done anything to change his life. Last example is when he went to college and started on special teams and finally got to be starting on defense.
If we were to look back, the leader or coach we respect most is the one who pushed us to be that greatest that we could be. Although we did not like being pushed at the time, being told we could give more is often what teams need in order to succeed. Herb Brooks pushed his players to believe that they had greatness within them. His players, including many other people did not believe at first. But his players later came to believe because their coach believed.

In today’s society, we have former National Football League(NFL) quarterback Collin Kapernick who’s no longer in the NFL because of his protest against racial inequality. However, many people believe he is no longer in the NFL because of his talent. Kapernick led the 49ers to Super Bowl 47. Although they didn’t win, he threw for 302 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 62 yards. Therefore, he didn’t get kicked out of the league because he wasn’t good enough, but for sitting down during the national anthem.
