At the end of John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice and Men”, George shoots his best friend, Lenny, in the back of the head. He didn’t have very many other options. What he did, though, could be looked as evil.

In the end of the book, Lennie, who is large and dumb, accidently kills the farmer’s son’s wife. He goes into hiding the men all go looking to kill Lennie. George ends up being the one that kills him.

George had very few options after Lennie killed Curly’s wife. He could let Lennie rot in prison, or have his life end. George thought that it would be better for Lennie to die. So he decided he would do it instead of somebody else.

This also could be looked at as wrong. George killed another person and that person was his best friend.
