ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS OF TOURISM IN THAILAND Travelling is one of the favorite activities of tourist around the world, but sometimes it can have a harmful effect on the environment. (Olivar K.,2016) Impacts from tourism happen when many visitors use is greater than the environment’s ability. Especially when there’s have high level of number of visitors in regions where the resources are already not enough. This may often have a more dramatic effect on the environment and can seriously affect tourism. Thailand is one of the most famous that has many tourists come to visit every year. Thailand has a tourist season when more visitor arrivals continued to increase in the first and second quarters of 2016. 9.04 million visitors in the three first months, an increase of 15.45% when compared to 2015. 7.55 million visitors in the second quarter of 2016, an increase of 8.23% when compared with the second quarter of 2015, which indicates a slight loss of momentum of arrivals. Anyway, if the trend continues, we may see a number of about 32-35 million tourists arriving in 2016. (Vanhaleweyk, 2016) and Thailand is a country that have many industry in the top of Asia. Thailand has many tourist attractions that can effects the environment by traveller. Such as Full Moon parties, Koh Tao, Koh Larn, other islands, beaches, natural attractions and etc. in Thailand. These places have many visitor come every day.
