Through these organizations people’s voices can be heard and influence law making. On the other hand, the way that lobbyist and interest groups influence politicians can be argued to be unethical. In my opinion, the way that they influence can definitely be limited without violating the second amendment. Lobbyist and interest groups spend millions of dollars on influencing politicians. According to an article written 2015 by Ross Ramsey, money is being spent on transportation and lodging, food and beverage, entertainment, gifts, awards and mementos, political charities and fundraisers, and finally mass media communications. Lobbyists are spending a grand total of seven million dollars on government employees with the biggest investment being the legislative branch, no surprise there. The purpose of becoming a politician is to help make this country a better place and benefit the American people, but when they are receiving bribes from organization your are deceiving the purpose and only benefiting you.
