Both Frederick Douglass and Peter Randolph were incredibly influential men in their time and used their personal experiences to formulate how race and religion interact in America. Both men were slaves, born in the same era, and were faithful followers of Christ. Though these men had similar backgrounds, their views on intersection of race and religion were slightly different.
