In the post apocalyptic world, the father and son travel across the United States on the road so they can find a better society to live with. Along the way, the father and son learn how to cope with the mix of good and bad. In the novel The Road, the father and son are isolated to the changing world so they can live a manageable life. Throughout the father and child’s quest for survival, the father reminds the child several times about never leaving him alone in the world to defend for himself, even if
