Bowling wasn’t originally invented in the United States. Many believe that it was invented by the ancient Egyptians around 3200 BC. The ancient Egyptian people played a game of bowling in a large room, that looked sort of like bowling alleys today. Two people played at once, the first person on one side of the lane and the second person at the other end of the lane. Their lanes were approximately 4 meters long. Bowling today is a lot different from it was is 3200 BC.

Some of the first bowling pins were made out of maple wood and rocks.

(shown in the picture below) To perform this drill you need to kneel in front of the foul line of the lane, with the knee of the side you’re throwing with on the ground. You can also put a towel underneath your knee to make the position more comfortable. Make sure to center the foot opposite of your throwing hand, in front of your knee that is down. The front of your foot should be two to three inches from the foul line of the lane. Place the hand that you aren’t throwing with on your knee of your front leg and leave it there. Position your back leg behind your front foot to make room for the ball to swing. To make it easier for you to balance, you can bring your back foot around. Hold the ball and raise the shoulder that you’re throwing with, which brings the ball off the ground. You need to angle your body into an open position to help improve the direction of the swing, toward the target. At a slow pace, swing the ball back and forth, making the swings longer each time. You should feel a small pulling motion when the ball goes back. Fully relax the ball when it moves forward. Don’t swing back and forth more than three times because you’ll start losing your grip on the bowling ball. Don’t stop swinging the ball. To help, you can silently repeat to yourself, ”Back,
