World War I started in 1941 after the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand. There were many other reasons like nationalism and the increase of military that caused the war. There were two major alliances at this time, the Central Powers, which consisted of Germany, Ottoman Empire, and Austrian-Hungarian Empire. The second alliance was called the Allied Powers, they had France, Great Britain, Russia, Italy, and United States. There were other countries in these groups, but did not have much involvement.
