In the short story “The Most Dangerous Game” by Richard Connell, the author approached the climax in the way he did because he wanted to end the story with a cliffhanger to give the reader of feel of suspense. The general said with a deep, serious voice, “One of us is to furnish a repast for the hounds. The other will sleep in this very excellent bed. On guard, Rainsford” (Connell 15). The author wanted to end the story with action to make the reader feel suspense.
So life had to drastically transition from me being a lax sophomore that depended on my parents to plan everything for me and keep me in check for school work to living on my own and not having that sturdy support. At this school when I was learning to become an independent individual I had many opportunities to work on my time management and scheduling, and I had to learn how to get over my emotions on my own as a teenager with no parent or sibling to express these feeling to. Also through this whole school experience I had to have relationships with my teachers independently be able to figure out compromises and create bonds with them, without the help of parents and keeping a handle on my
There are many events that led to this day and I could not imagine how my life would have turned out. At a young age, I was embodied with the notion that you need college to be successful in life, so I worked hard in school and finally it had paid off. My last semester
“Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life”-Confucius (Coombs and Arcand). This is something my mom always told me growing up and I have always taken it to heart. This is because if I am enjoying and having a good time then it will not feel like work. This just means I need to find something that would make me happy every day. As a graduating senior, I have taken the interest survey, and I understand why the survey recommends agribusiness as a potential career field because of how I would get to work with my hands and also because it's a well-paying job.
My journey consisted of many good and bad times, and throughout the years I discovered my strengths and weaknesses. I made new friends, took on different tests, accomplished many things. My first year was my most difficult, being new to the school, but as the years went by, school became a more fun experience for me. Knowing that the 4 years of high school was a journey for me, I was able to brace myself for the difficult times to come and the rewards I was going to receive. At the end of the journey, I had gained a lot from these 4 years, but it also prepared me for my next journey, my journey through university.
By the time I graduate high school, I will already have my college associate degree that I will have earned through my hard work and dedication. Even though I went through a lot at such a young age, it has shaped me in every possible way. I was exposed to a whole different language and culture, but I was able to succeed through my strong desire of success and dedication. I am thankful for every challenge that I had to go through because if it was not for them, I would not be the person I am
The four noble truths are Dukkha (the truth of suffering), Samudaya (the truth of the origin of suffering), Nirodha (the truth of the cessation of suffering), and Magga (the truth of the path to the cessation of suffering). Basically, the first truth explains that all things are temporary. It is in relation to the thought that satisfactory cravings and/or humane desires are all leading to suffering because these pleasures do not last. Humanness is related to the concept of being unable to fulfill or live up to individual and cumulative expectations.
Just the thought of not knowing what I was supposed to do with the rest of my life made the last little bit of my senior year, very stressful. I then found out that not knowing and being undecided was perfectly okay and I was ready to begin my freshman year at Saint Petersburg College. Talking about graduating high school always seemed unrealistic because it was such a huge goal. After graduation, I had never felt so proud of myself.
High school has impacted my life in so many ways. High School taught me so many things, from personal relationships to creating a relationship with my education. As a freshman, I made a huge amount of mistakes and I regret doing foolish things, but I’ve realized, I was only maturing into the young adult I am today. Freshman year, I was out of focus and I was only trying to find myself. I would also prioritize other things and ignore my parent’s advice, where they would tell me to focus in school and give it my full attention.
As high school went on, the workload grew, but I also grew, so I was perfectly capable of keeping up with the work. This type of growth came rather easy to me. It was important for me to have one thing I could be confident with through all of the drama and chaos in my life. Growing in my community was not challenging thanks to the Live Algoma movement. Our community itself has experienced so much growth over the past four years, which allowed many students, including me, to grow in their community involvement as well.
I learned how to manage my time more efficiently since I had to balance my work and education and still do all the activities that make me happy such as playing soccer and badminton with my friends or being part of clubs at my school. Although life does not go by rule; there are times when I think what would happen if my dad was still healthy and I wouldn 't have to work. I wonder what it feels like not to think about paying the rent for a day or being able to spend the weekend without working. Still, at the end of the day when I first bought my mother an iPhone with my earnings, I felt satisfied with myself.
Eventually, I started to help my dad guys by giving them the tools they needed. Because of this, I started to get the hang of it and started learning what to do when a car part is broken. I want to work on cars because I get to learn new things about different vehicles and how they work. Being a senior in highschool has been quite challenging because of all the pressure that has been put on you for having to complete a massive essay like this, to getting all of your credits by the end of the school year. Graduating this year will be relieving knowing that I have passed all my classes and achieved my goals as a student.
Living a life beyond circumstances is another important
Now that it has been almost three years since I started college, I have accomplished so much that I thought would never be possible for me. I have almost completed my Associates in Arts degree with all most straight A’s. In high school, this was never the case for myself, I was too worried about guys and partying. I also didn’t have the support from my family either. I have now buckled down and have focused all my energy on my school work.
I can say I have found myself and am very matured for my age. I see life differently and plan goals to define my own success, in a realistic manner I take charge of your own life and know what I want and what I have to do to get what I want. My experiences have made me a stronger person, I push myself to work harder and never give up. I have failed many times and through that, I have learned to deal with failure. I have learned that everything happens for a reason and it is a learning experience.
