For example, the religious beliefs of the people of the Silk Road changed drastically from what they had been, and it was largely due to the effects of travel and trade on the Silk Road. Religious beliefs were very important for the people and deeply held aspects of personal identity, therefore, people are reluctant to go anywhere in which they cannot practice their faith. Traders who used the Silk Road, built shrines and temples of their own faiths wherever they went, in order to maintain their own beliefs and practices of worship while they were far from their country. One way that the Islamic empires lacked change was in it belief system. When Islam was first established in Arabia it had followed a heavy influence on the Muslim world’s social and belief system. The Qur’an describes God’s moral teachings and the Sunnah is the example that Muhammad set throughout his lifetime. The Muslims that followed the Qur’an and Sunnah were allowed to follow the Five Pillars of Islam. The Muslims started to have expanded leaders that came across new situations that the Islamic Law had influenced.

Ultimately, religion can be a key factor in the collapse or success of an empire, such as Persia, Han, Qin, India and other civilization within the region. In 600 BC to 600 CE, many belief systems within East and South Asia have created conflicts as well as united the people. The Buddhist who spread from South Asia to East Asia created much change in the way some civilization ruled their country but also caused persecution because of clashing views. The three aspects of Islam are Tawheed Ar-Rububiyyah which means Oneness of Allah’s Lordship – Believing in Allah alone. Tawheed Al-Asmaa Wal Sifat, maintaining the attributes of Allah. Then comes the third aspect Tawheed Al-Uloohiyyah or Tawheed Al-Ibaadah meaning Oneness of worship.
