Anyone who passes by me can easily identity which faith I belong too. Due to the hijab I were around my neck and the (generally) abaya, it is quite easy to identify that I am Muslim. Muslims are believers of the religion Islam. A Muslim is anyone who believes the following; there is only one god and his name is Allah (swt) and that Muhammad (pbuh) is his last messenger. Islam as a religion goes back to the beginning of time. When prophet Adam (pbuh) forgot his promise to Allah (swt) he was sent to Earth and from there began the life of humans on Earth. This, in Islam, is our story of creation. After prophet Adam (pbuh) came many messengers and prophets, who were sent to spread the message of Islam to the people. After many centuries of messengers and prophets, came the last prophet; Muhammad (pbuh). Since then, Islam has remained present in the world. …show more content…

To be more accurate, there are five pillars of Islam and six pillars of Eman. The first five pillars are: shahada, prayer, giving charity, fasting in Ramadan, and doing Haji. Shahada is what I mentioned previously about there only being one god and that Muhammad (pbuh) is his last messenger. The rest of the five pillars of Islam are quite self explanatory. As for the six pillars of eman, they are as follows: believing in Allah (swt), his angels, his books, his messengers, the day of judgement and the divine destiny.
