The purpose for me pursuing higher education is to provide a better lifestyle for my son and me. Some of the internal factors on higher education is that if you have that higher education it looks a lot better for the jobs you apply for and some external factors on higher education was just to become a better person to further my career. I believe some of the obstacles that I most likely will face along this journey is being overwhelmed. I am hoping that with higher education will come along with a reward for making more money. Meaning, if someone has a less education than yourself you are most likely going to get hired over the other applicant, I believe this because it happened to me but in a different way. I applied for a coordinating job from the previous company that I worked with and I didn’t get the job. Not only was I upset but everyone I worked with at that place was upset, knowing that I deserved that position but didn’t get it because the other applicant had a higher education that me. The External factor on higher education was just to become a better person and to further my career. Though furthering my career it will help me a lot to get to where I want to be in life and also with having a higher education rewards more money.
Some of the obstacles that I most likely will face along this journey is being overwhelmed. Going to school it added a lot of stress. I work two jobs one full-time and one part-time. I also have a five year old son that’s in school himself and I have to sit down and help him with his homework. Also with helping my grandma out when she needs help and making time for my own friends and my own life. With more money I can get a house rather than living in an apartment. Also the best reward that will come from this is feeling good about myself knowing that I graduated, making my parents and family proud of me but most of all setting a good example for my son.
