The Ford Pinto case may have been considered one of the most irresponsible and worst U.S. corporate action crimes regarding engineering ethics. It started in May of 1972 when an owner and passenger of a 1972 Ford Pinto was involved in a fiery car accident that resulted in major injuries and death.
