Christmas Eve 2002, Laci Peterson was reported missing by her family in Modesto, California. She was a caring, loving mother to be. IT was unusual for Laci, whose family adored, to just disappear, especially since she was eight months pregnant. She, supposedly, was at home by herself while her husband, Scott Peterson, was away on a golfing trip with his father and some colleagues (or so they thought). Scott later admitted to police that he was on a fishing trip. After suspicions surfaced (including extra-marital affairs committed by the fertilizer salesman, evidence, and motives found by the police, Scott Peterson was the key suspect in the murder. According to the website, when officials went to search Laci’s Ranger Rover days after the missing persons report was filed, an investigator allegedly pulled the door open too wide and lightly hit the fence. Scott was so concerned about the door that he ran off to get a leather glove to place in between the door and fence so the door would not get damaged. This was a concern seeing he should be more worried about his missing wife and child than an SUV door. Officials also searched Scott’s storage warehouse unit (that he claims to have used for his job as a fertilizer salesman) and found a hair in a pair of pliers inside the boat. There was also a homemade cement anchor found in the boat which tested to be the same “freshly dried” cement found in Peterson’s driveway along with a gallon pitcher used to mold five anchors. Officials also found that Scott had washed his clothes by themselves immediately after he got home disregarding clothing that was already in the washer.
