Chapter Two: Miguel Angel Palacios “A 19 years old man named Miguel Angel Palacios, also known as Michelangelo Palacios, who was allegedly killed by a drunken neighbor named Jesús Antonio Castaño, at about six in the morning on May 4, 2014 in Envigado, Colombia, after Palacios and his brother Juan Pablo went to the defense of a dog named Jerry.” ( Miguel Ángel Palacios Montoya, 19, was killed defending a dog.) The miniature pinscher dog Jerry, who was a pet of a man named Albeiro Cortez, who wasn't present during this situation. On May 4, 2014 in Envigado, Colombia at about six in the morning.
In the summer of June 13,2015, a 28 year old female by the name of Sandra Bland was found dead in her cell. Three days before her death she was pulled over by Sheriff Glenn Smith and she was sent to the local Waller County jail in Prairie View, Texas. There are two sides to the story, starting with Ms. Bland was commited suicide and the the argument against that was she was killed by one of the sheriff (Stanford, 2015). She is not the only black female who experienced police violence. She is added on the list of black women who were violently brutalized by police.
Dubbed the Valley Intruder or Night Stalker, Ricardo Leyva Munoz Ramirez famously known as Richard Ramirez, struck fear through the bones of many during his serial killing spree in the mid-eighties. Ramirez killed at least fourteen people in his spree while raping and torturing many more. His criminal beginnings turned to violence in June of 1984 with his first known slaying of 79-year-old Jennie Vincow. Vincow was sexually assaulted, stabbed and ultimately killed in her home. Authorities had not yet caught Ramirez after this brutal homicide, therefore he was free to continue his spree on countless more helpless victims.

When the justice for Mr King was not given rightfully, the people from the streets who went through alike problems hear about it, they immediately want change. From gang members who initiated the truce that helped decrease street violence, to the average high school student being active in protest around the city, the riots were portrayed heavily by the people affected by the beating. At these times, around the clock news and live television coverage followed but also in Ice Cube’s “The Predator” and Rodney King 's speech to the city of Los Angeles. Rodney King, intoxicated, speeding down the interstate had ignored all police sirens and warnings. He led the California Highway Patrol on a eight mile chase down freeways and city streets.
He killed over about one hundred girls from different native tribes and a native tribe caught him, buried him from the neck down in sand, beaten, and tortured him by pouring syrup all over his head to watch the ants eat him but, he managed to escape and went to Columbia then Ecuador. This became a daily routine where he would kill about two to three girls a day for about four years. Lopez said, "I like the girls in Ecuador, they are more gentle and trusting, more innocent." Even though he was poor and homeless, he was still all over the place moving from city to city murdering young girls day by day. In April 1980, four murdered children were uncovered by a flood and after the flood, he was arrested for attempting to abduct a young girl and went to prison.

The Rodney King Riot happened in Los Angeles in the year of 1992. Rodney King was an African American male who was arrested on charges because of speeding, drunk driving, and refusing to stop his vehicle. Four police officers who have claimed to have witnessed King’s actions such as being high on drugs and was trying to attack them explains why they did what they did. A resident nearby by the name of George Holliday captured about 12 minutes of the attack on film. King was tasered, brutally beaten with side-handled batons, then forced to the ground to lie still which was where he was handcuffed.
On March 19-20 1935, More than 10,000 people rioted the streets to protest the perceived police brutality against blacks. When it ended 125 people were arrested, more than 100 people had been injured, and 3 individuals were dead, all of them black. Property damage to 200
Orlean is a French town along the Loire River. In 1428, the Siege of Orleans took place, which is known as the turning point in the Hundred Years War. English forces had been attempting to seize, or trying to take over towns, in the north eastern part of France, and England had begun to lay siege on Orleans . By February of 1429, Joan of Arc, who had been claimed to have been persuaded by saints, then persuaded Charles VII to take back the city. Joan and the troops entered Orleans through Chezy, five miles upstream, and stormed forts, which eventually caused the English to abandon the siege.
Michael Brown’s shooting involves a racial tension between blacks and whites since Brown was unarmed and surrendered. In Ferguson, the majority of people are African Americans, and the majority of police officers are white. On the night of the shooting incident, Brown was walking home and confronted by Wilson because Wilson thought Brown was suspicious. There was a struggle between Brown and Wilson. According to Brown’s friend, Wilson started the fight.

The very first murder he was linked to would have been the first one he would of committed. This murder took place in Santa Barbara on June 4th, 1963. The young victims were couple Robert Domingos and his betrothed Linda Edwards. The couple had decided to participate in their senior ditch day, so they went sunbathing at a beach near Gaviota State Park. When they didn’t return by the next morning, Robert’s father went looking for them.

In 1943 the suit zoot riots occurred, this is the event where “a mob of U.S. servicemen took to the streets in taxicabs and began attacking Latinos and stripping them of their suits”. In the local papers it was made seem like the racial attacks were a vigilante respond to an immigrant crime wave and police would mostly only arrest the Latinos who fought back. These riots demonstrates how unfair the law enforcement was to the Latinos being attacked and how badly Latinos were treated by their peers. This type of mistreatment and discrimination towards them was not uncommon In the 1900s, in fact latinos were heavily discriminated against in the 1900s.
