One difference is the weather. United States have four seasons, spring, summer, fall and winter, while Venezuela has just two all the year which are fall and summer. On addition, in the United States the climate varies widely across the nation, summers are warm
America can be described in many different ways, but America in definition is a land mass occupied by a mixture of different ethnicities who all believe in similar ideals such as living in a land enriched with opportunities where you a free from persecution and able to live out your beliefs. These American ideals have evolved over time with the influence of several different civilizations with varying beliefs. Two of the groups involved in this evolution of ideals were the Iroquois and the Spanish. The Iroquois and the Spanish had drastically different views on every aspect of life, but ideals from both their civilizations merged to create the place America is today. The Iroquois were a civilization who strongly believed in equality, welcoming
Antonio was intimidated by English at school because he came from a Spanish speaking family. Spanish was all that he knew and to him that was normal but to the other kids and teachers at school it was weird and abnormal. There are many examples of dichotomy in the book. For example the vaquero’s and the farmers had different lifestyles and there was constant fighting. With Antonio’s dad being a vaquero and his mom being a farmer, he grew up listening to the constant bickering about who was better and how they should raise their kids.

The Aztec’s culture was focused on religion while the Inca’s was mostly about warfare and buildings. The Inca also had a language that consisted entirely of knots. Spanish forces landed in Veracruz in 1519. The group went to Tenochtitlán and gained support from city-states along the way.
Native Americans, French, Spanish, and English The Native Americans were the first to settle in America. Their culture was developed more for survival than enjoyment. They migrated from the area that is known as Asia. There were many different tribes located in America.
The colonists in the New World had an interesting relationship with their neighbors, the Native Americans. When the New World was first discovered, many people from different lands immigrated there to start a new life. Sadly, when they settled there, they were intruding on land that was already populated by the natives. This caused many conflicts between the colonists and their new neighbors, this may be due to the differences in culture and tradition. The most well-known colonist groups in the New World at the time, were the English and Spanish.
For instance, Anglo’s primarily speak English while the Mexican Americans predominately speak Spanish. In terms of living conditions, Anglo residences are often well constructed and contain more “luxury” type amenities such as laundry facilities, air conditioning, a nice yard, and gardens. In contrast, on the Mexican American side of town, residences are more basic. For instance, a Mexican American home is more cheaply built and thus less sturdy, often having weaker frames and having yards which are bare and lack
During my two interviews my with my two people of the Hispanic culture I came to find they were both had a good level of health literacy from a quick glance. It’s interesting I came to this conclusion fast after asking them each their questions, because I barely know these two on a personal level. Raul I met last year at comicpalooza, where we bonded over love over television and movies and came in contact since, mostly having conversations about show/movies; but never had conversations on anything like this level. Francis I met over swim class this fall at UH recreation center, so I came to the conclusion to pick two people I didn’t really know to ask these questions for this paper.
In the 16th Century, Spain became one of the European forces to reckon with. To expand even further globally, Spanish conquistadors were sent abroad to discover lands, riches, and North America and its civilizations. When the Spanish and Native American groups met one another, they judged each other, as they were both unfamiliar with the people that stood before them. The Native American and Spanish views and opinions of one another are more similar than different because when meeting and getting to know each other, neither the Spaniards nor the Native Americans saw the other group of people as human. Both groups of people thought of one another as barbaric monsters and were confused and amazed by each other’s cultures.
The mix of Spanish and English words throughout the
One of the biggest differences is the language; Americans speak English. The United States also have many other cultures mixed, since people migrate into the Unites States all the time. On the other hand, Guatemala does not have a mix culture, they speak Spanish, along with other dialects that are found in different parts of Guatemala. Some dialects that Guatemalans speak are: Achi, Akateko, Awakateko, Xinca, and many more. The United States also has many other cultures mixed in with theirs, since many people migrate into the Unites States all the time.
It is true that Mexicans and Spaniards share similarities concerning language and culture, but there are far too many regional variations that make linguists say that Mexican Spanish qualifies to be a separate language, nonetheless, what does differ is that Spain’s political system is a Democratic government with an ‘international’ currency. Additionally, one can find a lot of Spanish influence in Mexican culture such as bull fights, foods like Spanish rice, and yes, Catholic Religion. Yet, it is easy to see the ancestral differences between Mexican and Spanish people due to their many different historical characteristics. Today, one difference between the two is that the Mexican political system is a close copy of the US system—at least on paper. However, the Mexican constitution provides only for a Federal system, unlike in Spain who recently has a revolution less than fifty years ago.
During my freshman and sophomore years of high school I took Spanish. It was a great experience to immerse myself in a different language and culture. I think every student in high school should take a language course because it makes for a better well rounded education. People who speak spanish as a main language are becoming more prominent in the United States, so it would be good to know at least the basics in case of an emergency. For example, I work at a Dunkin Donuts and sometimes someone who does not speak english with come in.
