The Future of Energy: Guiding Decisions and Evidence Energy is a fundamental entity of nature that is transferred between parts of a system in the production of physical change in the production of physical change within the system and usually regarded as the capacity for doing work (Merriam-Webster, 2018). There are two forms of energy and they are renewable and non-renewable energy. Without energy there would be many dysfunctional living essentials in every day life. Another source of energy that I use for light during the day is sunlight, I do this by opening my curtains and blinds, turning out all lights and allowing the sunlight to brighten the house, after all sunlight also provides physical energy for myself. Light is renewable energy. Sunlight also known as solar energy is a light source energy that is renewable and supplies enough energy to supply the world’s needs for one year (Alternative Energy, 2018). Heating and cooling in my home is used through central heat and air, I use this with the temperature of both heat and air set on 72 degrees and my home feels completely comfortable, depending on homes that use gas this could be non-renewable energy, but my home is a renewable energy source. The electric stove in my home is a non-renewable source as well as my washer/dryer, laptop, cell phone, and television, all of these can go out but can still be
