Both “The Lottery”(Shirley Jackson) and “The Giraffe”(Mauro Senesi) have characters who represent themselves as victims towards society, though in “The Lottery” the family is mistreated because of a traditional event whileas in “The Giraffe” the giraffe is victimized for being different.
