The song I chose I think should’ve been used in the movie The Giver is Round and Round by the Imagine Dragons. The song strangely connects to the The Giver with nearly every line. For example the very first line of the song “We all are living the same way, the same way” relates with the main plot of the book which is Sameness. It also references how clueless the society of The Giver really is, by that I mean everyone thinks that they are doing different things , when they really aren’t. For example they all eat the same food, wear the same clothes, have the same schedules, and really do the things until the year of twelve where THEY ARE CHOSEN their occupations, showing even less individuality in the community, and even with their occupations they really only have slight variations. …show more content…

There are lines in the chorus that also connect with the book “I won’t run away this time, till you show what this life is for” and “I am not gonna let you change my mind” that relate to the book but since the explanation requires information past chapter eleven, I am not allowed to use these, but again showing how connected these two pieces of art are.
