The Good Guys are Gatsby and Nick, and the bad guys are Tom Buchanan, George Wilson, and Meyer Wolfsheim. The characters in Great Gatsby are very hard to distinguish if they are part of the good guys or bad guys. Some can be considered good for the actions they have done and some can be considered bad for the ties they have. Some of the characters are involved in criminal work while some are just living. Nick’s character is honest, but is an alcoholic. Nick is also the narrator of the story. Nick is considered the good guy as he didn’t cause many conflicts between Tom Buchanan and Jay Gatsby. He helps both these characters on many occasions, such as helping Tom with Myrtle, helping Jay Gatsby with Daisy and Nick helping with Jay’s funeral. Nick’s only conflict of interest is the fact that he is on both sides of the story, with him knowing that Jay Gatsby loves Daisy and him also knowing Tom’s affairs.
