“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.” Oh Lord, forgive us for taking your deity for granted. The Gospel of John, is perhaps the most palpable Gospel declaration of our Lord Jesus Christ scribed through the hand of the disciple He loved. A. W. Tozer once said, “All through His ministry, Jesus was God acting like God. He deliberately crossed the mysterious gulf between God and not God. He took upon Him the form of a man to become flesh, and dwelt among us. Even while hanging on the cross, Christ did not leave the bosom of the Father.” The presence of Jesus was so important to John, that he humbly shifts the spotlight from his ministry to the Lamb of God, “Look!
