Green on the outside purple on the in, I am Bobby’s favorite pencil. How I know is because he virtually takes extra care of me then his other pencils because there all broken. Right now I’m in his jacket pocket on the wooden dresser where he put his clothes for the next morning. I am waiting for him to wake up for school so I can be of some use. His pocket taste like… like a pocket, there’s nothing else to express the taste except clothe. Oh, he just awoke. He is grabbing his jacket and pants, and shirt. Ugh, he’s dressing in the dark. Again. I hope he puts his shirt on backwards. So while he brushes his teeth and combs a little bit of his hair, I will tell you what school is about. School is a place where kids go to learn things. While that is being done I take a look around. The white concrete/stone walls and floor are clean and flourished. The paper and table taste like Windex and plastic. I tried to get more in but got only the darkness of the boy’s pocket and the bell that begins class. While I’m in there I doze like I do every first period. After a while I see a light come through the pocket and find my owners opened his pocket zipper. He slides his hand in and brings me out. I feel the warmth of his hand and the taste of soap, pop tarts, and paper, and pencils. I get excited when I see a packet of paper and words with answer slots. I’ve never done a packet before, this should be fun! I thought getting all giddy. Then he sets me down and pulls out the pencil that was being rude to me before. Then he set him down and picked me up. I was wondering what was happening, why he was using two pencils. Then he started clicking me and pulled out all my lead. When the last piece of lead was pulled he put me back in his pocket. When he set me back in the others started laughing and laughing until the shame made me pass
