One day, I was drinking a beer with my friend Andrew Ellicott, and a mysterious figure creeps up behind us. He was about my height, and created a mysterious atmosphere. He introduced himself, as Jay Gatsby from west egg. He had a stylish Rolls-Royce and fancy cloths but didn’t seem like he was stuck-up. I was intrigued because back in Germany every rich person was stuck-up and mean. Gatsby stated, “I heard about your theories before.” It felt very pleasurable to hear that somebody heard about my theories of relativity. At the time, I was a college student at the University of Arizona, and I have never heard a complement about my theories about relativity. It was at this moment that I realized that we would be great friends. As the night progressed we talked about a variety of topics. I vividly remember that he kept on talking about this girl named, Daisy. He told me that they were dating before the World War and after he returned from war he lost contact with his long-time love. Gatsby, “Why don’t you find another girl.” He was astonished and replied, “Well old sport, this isn’t chemistry you can’t just have bonds with any elements. Love is a sport and once you have a true love, no matter what, that bond cannot be broken.” This was the moment that I truly understood love. The next thing that we talked about was my science experiments. He was not very interested but surprisingly wanted to fund my research. He and his friend, Meyer Wolfsheim, gave me their money for my research. I was very skeptical when they gave me their money because I heard that Mr.Wolfsheim fixed the World Series of 1919.
