Bobby is a young American who grows up in a family belonging to the Presbyterian Church. When his older brother confesses his homosexuality his life completely changed when his mother Mary, noted for being a devout Christian and conservative, he learns and intends to "cure" him. While his father and brothers begin to accept his homosexuality, his mother insists daily visits by a psychiatrist and encouraging prayer with his church activities that Bobby can change.
