In the Roaring 20’s there were a lot of movies and Entertainment that corrupted during this time. While many people sat at home, other people found things to do that could keep them entertained. Some examples of entertainment would be parties which was very popular and the person who hosted it was usually rich and had a mansion. Alcohol was a given one as well since that's what everyone would want to drink at all the amazing parties. Usually alcohol was $5 for a gallon and most ways people got alcohol was hidden. During this time the 18th amendment banned or removed alcohol, so there was a bunch of bootleggers. Finally there is dancing, this is what most people conjured at parties. There is always a bunch of lights surrounded the house making it look as if a night where sunrise. He throws most of these parties just to get Daisy’s attention. Daisy is a girl Gatsby dated 5 years back, and he was lost and just now returned to her. Gatsby fights to get to her back threw all these flashy parties just so she would eventually show up. Nobody seems to know who Gatsby really is but yet they are at his marvelous parties. Most people show up to his parties as if they just randomly showed up. Gatsby’s parties are an American Dream in the 1920’s era. In the 1920’s, parties was usually the most popular and would be one of the biggest entertainments in this time period. Most of the parties that happened in the 1920’s were huge, usually started by one of the richest people in town. The first party ever put together in “The Great Gatsby” was at Tom’s mansion. This is when Tom’s mistress calls on the phone and Nick is wondering what is going wrong. Daisy was mad at this point, but she loves Tom too much to let him go.
