One idea that was interesting to me was in chapter six “The Untouchables”. EBay is one of the most popular online sellers in the country, but it did not become so popular until they bought PayPal in 1998. PayPal allows anyone to buy or sell items online, and receive the money right away (Friedman, p. 85). You can only pay with either a credit card, a checking account, or by a personal check. Before PayPal came into the picture, if you wanted to buy something on eBay, you had to either pay by check, or a money order, which could take a very long time to get to the recipient. PayPal allowed individuals to have credit card accounts, which was both good and bad for the economy. Customers were so happy about the creation of PayPal that they pushed for eBay to buy them out.

In Question One, I discussed “learning how to learn”. I personally connected to this because in the past I have teachers that I have connected with and learned a lot from, and I had other teachers that I learned nothing from. By having the right people in your life, you are more apt to do well. When a teacher is inspired by the subject they are teaching, they tend to put a lot more time and effort into teaching the subject.
