In chapter VII there are a variety of themes that include the attitude of the Roaring Twenties, The American Dream, class old money new money, living in the past and looking to the future, although these themes come all together like if it was one dream or reality, like women and men they are living in the moment, women were also not acting as a woman is expected to act they were smoking they were drinking and they had more rights, that was part of the Roaring Twenties.

Also in chapter VII one day Nick decides to take a train to East egg for lunch at the Buchanan mansion and he finds Gatsby and Jordan as well.
