Chapter 3- Analysis of Character Trait, recklessness Grace has had a problem with being very reckless. Throughout the book, you will see examples of Grace acting without thinking, and usually getting in trouble after. Most of the recklessness had to do with catching the scarred man, but I noticed that some of them had to do with other things as well. Something I noticed about the other times that Grace was being reckless that didn’t have to do with the Scarred Man was just Grace being the hero.

He learns that Judy is married with children, but not happily. Her husband runs around all day as Judy stays at home with the children. Many readers find irony in the ending because no one would expect a girl like Judy to stay at home all day. Judy was the girl that always went out with the fanciest people and materials. Many would also agree that because Judy only cared for money, was cruel to Dexter, and her selfishness, lead her to this despairing

Throughout the passage, Dickens uses sorrowful syntax to indicate Sydney Carton’s acceptance of his wasteful life, and his subsequent sacrifice to fill it with meaning by recounting the legacy that he forged. Once described as a man who was going nowhere in his life (84), Carton is now portrayed as wanting to forfeit his life to make others happy. In the chapter, Dickens describes how Carton thinks that “...It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done…” (347). Within the quote, Dickens uses rather emotional syntax to acknowledge how Carton feels about his past, wasted life. Furthermore, Dickens also uses praises like “It is a far, far better rest that I go to” (347), signifying that Carton acknowledges that the sacrifice
