The Great Gatsby is a romantic film with an interesting dramatic plot that was madein 2013. It is a visual narration of a 1925 novel, written by F. Scott Fitzgerald and bears the same name. The director of the film, Baz Luhrmann, is indeed a wise filmmaker who incorporates Leonardo DiCaprio, multiple-award actor, as the starringwhereby he takes the role of Jay Gatsby. The setting of the movie depicts New York City in the 1920s. It is a flashback narrative by Nick Caraway, a recovering alcoholic who is receiving treatment in a mental hospital. He gives an account of the most optimistic man he has ever encountered in his entire life; Jay Gatsby. Owing to its value, money is a factor that influences relationships, decisions, and ambitions. As the movie starts, the narrator acknowledges that the era was marked by a booming stock market. He even admits thatthe stock market made him quit his passion for writing. This scene is marked by himpilling the books he had been writing in a box and concentrating on an economics book that would help him make more money. On the other hand, his cousin, Daisy, is arguably materialistic in a silly way. Her affair with Gatsby began after she was taken for a tour of his castle. In there, Gatsby showed off his wealth and successfully impressed Daisy. A hilarious part of the tour was when Daisy broke to tears after Gatsby threw his shirts in the air; because she had never seen shirts that beautiful.Gatsby, the epitome of wealth and flamboyance was born to a poor family. In several scenes, he is portrayed as an individual who is above the law. When they went on lunch together with Nick, Gatsby drove recklessly and pulled over by a police officer.
