In the beginning of chapter 7, NIck notices Gatsby has no parties going on and learns that Gatsby doesn't need the parties to attract Daisy. On the hottest of the summer Tom, Daisy, Gatsby, Nick, Jordan go to the buchanan’s house for lunch. As the afternoon goes on Tom realises that Daisy and Gatsby are having an affair. Tom sets out to win her back. Daisy asks if they can all go to NYC for the rest of the day.
The reunion of Daisy and Gatsby sets all the following events into inevitable motion. Chapter seven reveals that the story of their romance reaches its climax and its tragic conclusion. The fact that Daisy invites Gatsby to her house, considering the fact that Tom is also there, was a very foolish move. The confrontation between Gatsby and Tom serves to reveal the major flaws and motivations of both characters. Tom’s conceitedness causes him to believe that his wife will never leave him because of his wealth and high social status.
The Gatsby becomes adamant about Daisy telling Tom she never loved him. Then Tom eventually finds out about their affair and makes sure she does not leave him. This is where Daisy starts to go down him. She tells Gatsby she loves him, but tells him that she also loves Tom, and can not choose between the
Gatsby wants everything to be perfect for his and Daisy’s reunion; he gets Nick’s lawn cut, buys her a great deal of flowers, and makes sure that every room is spotless. Daisy soon realizes that she could receive anything from Gatsby, but she still had to worry about Tom. Only in love for the money, Daisy begins to push Tom away to attain her goal. At one of Gatsby’s parties, she gives Tom permission to go have fun with other women: ‘“And if you want to take down any addresses here’s my little gold pencil’” (105). He is losing both of them. Gatsby, Daisy, Tom, Jordan, and Nick all go to Tom and Daisy’s house where Daisy was supposed to confess her feelings for Gatsby. But instead they then take a ride to a Plaza hotel where things become very violent and Daisy says she loves Gatsby

The narrator begins to tell how his family was from the Middle West and moved to Long Island. Nick then rents a house that is by large mansions - owned by Jay Gatsby - which reminds him of his wealthy family.
They get bored at Daisy and Tom’s, so they decide to go into town. After they pull up into town, they end up in a suite at the Plaza hotel in an attempt to cool off a little. The tensions between Gatsby and Tom begin to rise even more than they already had when Tom accuses Gatsby of lying about being an Oxford man. Gatsby defends himself and declares that he was at Oxford, but only for a few months. Later, Gatsby starts to force Daisy to choose between himself and Tom.
Tom has suspected that an affair is going on between Gatsby and Daisy. Tom also talks about Gatsby’s illegal life where Daisy is then surprised by what she is finding out. Gatsby also gets heated to the point where he wants Daisy to tell Tom that she

After an awkward reunion, their love is rekindled and their affair begins. At a luncheon, Tom is very suspicious about Gatsby and Daisy. They decide to go to town because it is so hot and he confronts Gatsby about his past. All truth comes out about his past.
Daisy randomly states that they should all spend this hot day in town. After asking around, she looks at Gatsby. Daisy begins to compliment Gatsby, and they begin to eye each other across the room. Tom, Daisy’s husband, takes notice of this and angrily agrees they should go to town. The two girls, Daisy and Jordan, run upstairs to get ready.
Nick Carraway the narrator, opens the chapter with saying how in life one shall not be judgemental. However, he quickly contradicts himself by judging everyone who has opened up to him in the past. He explains how he was born into a wealthy family, and how he hates everything about privileged folks. However, Gatsby has all the qualities that he hates but, for some reason has an inclination to like him. He graduated from “New Haven” and participated in the first world war.
Tom and Gatsby got into a dispute over their money which upsets Daisy, so Tom and Daisy left the party early. Gatsby was frustrated and believed that he could get Daisy’s love back with his money even though she was still with Tom. Later, Tom has Nick, Gatsby and Jordan over for lunch. After a while Tom gets annoyed with the way Gatsby and Daisy are acting towards each other, so he decides they are all going to go into town together. When they arrive in New York Tom confronts Gatsby on the issues of him lying about going to Oxford and what he plans to due with Daisy.
Since affairs were looked down upon for married women, Daisy kept it a secret and Gatsby fired all of his servants so that rumors would not be spread. Daisy finds herself in a difficult situation when Daisy tells Gatsby that she loves him right in front of Tom. Gastby is a bootlegger, but Daisy is unaware of his occupation, until Tom reveals this during the confrontation. Daisy tells Gatsby she cannot be with a bootlegger, and she then stays with Tom. At this point Daisy’s conflict is resolved, but she and Gatsby can never have a relationship again because at the end of the novel, Gatsby is murdered by George
They nearly got married years ago but Gatsby did not have any money at that time and decided to wait. After meeting Daisy for the second time, they have an affair. After awhile, Tom is wary of Gatsby and tries to prove that the famous Jay Gatsby is not who he appears to be. Daisy becomes angry at her husband’s chauvinistic attitude and decides to leave her husband for Gatsby. However, she later discovers that her lover, Jay Gatsby is not the respected man he claims to be.
