People research mythology to learn about all the different myths and to also learn about all the Greek gods, goddesses, nymphs etc. Many people enjoy reading and learning about all the myths about the gods and goddesses and nymphs and monsters Etc. Long periods of time people have been surprised about Poseidon; the famous Greek god Poseidon,Fatal Flaw, Hubris and most importantly Calypso. These Mythical beings, gods and other were all combined in the Greek culture which created all the myths and stories about all the gods, goddesses and nymphs.

Like the myth says, the god Poseidon was the second son of Cronus and Rhea but like his brothers and sisters he was later swallowed by his father, but later saved by Zeus. The Greek god Poseidon was an important character in the movie The Odyssey, Poseidon was the god of the sea,earthquakes and horses.In the movie the Odyssey, Poseidon allowed Odysseus and his men to sail across his ocean. Poseidon was helped Odysseus and his men fight the Trojan War because they built the Trojan horse to represent Poseidon, until Odysseus was ungrateful of Poseidon helping them win the Trojan War, so Poseidon wants to show him a lesson; no man is capable of doing things without the gods. She took over the island of Ogygia, and she held Odysseus captive for over 5 years, hoping to keep him as a husband but Zeus didn’t allow it so he sent Hermes to order her to let Odysseus go while Poseidon was on his vacation in Africa since Poseidon wouldn’t let Odysseus go across his sea. Odysseus chose to leave the island of Ogygia. Calypso allowed him to leave even though she did not wish for him to leave. The thing about Calypso is that her powers only worked on her island so if she did not listen to the Greek god Zeus her island would be taken away from
