Long and tortured was the history between JonBenet and her mother from many bedwetting incidents and fights between the two according to “Grand Jury Dismissed”. Furthermore, JonBenet had been missing when the police and John went down to the basement and found JonBenet. JonBenet was found with a rope around her neck and a broken paintbrush to form a noose: “Further Investigation revealed the other half of the paintbrush in Patsy’s art supplies in the basement” (Ferris 136). Finding JonBenet like this. John Ramsey immediately ripped the tape from JonBenets mouth and carried her upstairs, this disturbed the crime scene which was horrific for the case, as the body/victim was the main evidence. This resulted in Patsy and John Ramsey being investigators' main suspects. All in all, with distinct knowledge of the note and relationships/hardships in the family, makes JonBenet family the more plausible theory for who murdered
