Justyce: The Hispanic Girl

The hispanic girl was just fourteen years old when things came crashing down on her. Depression seemed harder than everyone in her life made it seem, but for her it was like a thousand pound weight holding her body down in the middle of her own personal ocean with no one around to help her. It was like she was afraid to cry because it would only make her ocean rise and drown her quicker.

They call her Justyce, she was the youngest of her family and had such high expectations set for her by family. Justyce’s parents were very serious about school and she tried to make her mom happy more than everyone else because her mom was her best friend. The only thing she could say was “wrist, leaking, help.” Realizing the situation she had been in, Justyce ran downstairs to get help from her father but she felt as though he didn’t care because all he could do was yell at her. Justyce ’s “best friend” raced to her house calling Justyce’s mom who just got out of work. Her mom was in tears and in very much shock hoping Justyce didn’t cut too deep.

Suddenly, Justyce’s mom rushes in through the front door in tears. Her father still yelling at her and leaving Justyce in continuous tears. She was forced to sit at the table with her parents and tell them what was wrong but she felt like they didn’t care because they just turned the situation back on themselves making it all about them.

Her father eventually left to work and her mom stayed home not letting Justyce be alone. Eventually they left to a Diversity Celebration Nena’s school was having which is where Justyce seen her ex-girlfriend who she had recently broken up with. In the school fully of more than a hundred people, she felt so alone but had to “suck it up” and realize that she isn’t going to beg for help, friendships or anything in life , she just has to live it.

Eventually , the night was over Justyce went back home drained from so much crying and fell asleep to lead her into the next day where it was all pretend smiles and laughs continuing to the days she lives
