The Hobbit Analysis

This Second quarter we worked on PRL’s, a class novel called “The Hobbit” by J.R.R Tolkien, and an Ellis Island packet. The PRL’s are based off of personal reading books we chose from the library and I chose “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” by Brian Selznick. With our class novel “The Hobbit” by J.R.R Tolkien we worked on three essays for this novel. And the Ellis Island packet, we analysed photos,videos, and writing.

My two best Shared Reading responses are my Hobbit Tbear and Ellis Island talking to the text packet. You will find these two pieces of writing in the fourth and ninth spot in my portfolio and they are labeled with a bow and bird sticker, surrounded by mini heart stickers.. For example, my second best reading response meets CCSS 3 because it shows how a writer makes connections between the text and possible accusations . To prove this I stated, “ with old and outdated boats, immigrants couldn 't afford nice transport” This shows that i’m critically thinking about __________________ because ___________________________.
