Jewish Retaliation Jewish people did not cower back against the Nazis. From “1933 to 1945” an act of genocide took place in this world. The holocaust, one of the worlds worst killings of all mankind. A lot of jewish people were murdered brutally, however most of them rebelled in certain ways. During the holocaust the jews used armed and unarmed forces to maintain their humanity.
In the course of the holocaust the jews use armed forces to respond to the Nazis cruelty. This helped them be able to die on their own terms instead of facing torture from the Nazis. “About 4,000 Nazis began house-to house searches only to walk face-first into multiple ambushes”, (“Resistance”). This event caused an uprising in the Warsaw Ghetto. The jews made an effort of fighting back with weapons. “Other jewish groups attacked German tanks with Molotov cocktails, hand grenades, and a handful of small arms”, (“Jewish Resistance”). The incident helped the jews have hope that they were able to still fight back. Keeping their hope and humanity was the most important thing to them. Concluding, most jews didn’t want to fight back using armed forces.
In the ghettos the jews were given a big list of things that they could never do. Jewish people rebelled against the Nazis doing what they thought was right. “Jews smuggled books and manuscripts into many ghettos for safekeeping, and opened underground libraries in numerous ghettos”, (“Spiritual Resistance”). The jews used these tactics to rebel against the Nazis, reclaiming somewhat of their humanity back. They restricted of their culture, their rights and their education.
