The homecoming of Odysseus was quite an extravagant one. He didn’t come home to peace and happiness, he returned from a long series of trials and battles only to enter into another one. But this time he wasn’t fighting for his survival, he was fighting for his family, and for vengance. Odysseus was known for being very clever, and he continued to use that to his advantage when it came to his homecoming. He came disguised as a poor beggar, and didn’t reveal his true self to many people before the battle. The reunion between him and his son was very emotional and heartfelt, they clung to one another in an embrace.
