In “Time to Assert American values,” by New York Times and “Rough Justice” by Alejandro Reyes, both passages argue for and against the punishment prescribed in the Michael Fay case. After carefully analyzing the two texts the reader realizes that the article “Rough Justice” has the most relevant and sufficient article to support these arguments because of the way the author uses a sustainable amount of evidence and facts to back up it’s claims, as well as, strong rhetorical appeals. Brian Regan is a man from Long Island, New York. Growing up, he was often picked on for his dyslexia, which made people think he was unintelligent. After high school, he cheated on an exam to get into the U.S. Air Force, where he met his wife and was very happy. In 1995, he was moved to the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) where he had access to top secret government information and he learned to code. After falling deep into debt, Regan stole over a thousand pages of classified information from the NRO and attempted to sell it to foreign countries.
Knights have always fascinated people with their daring deeds and good manners. In the Pearl Poet’s “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight,” the Green Knight arrives at King Arthur’s castle to Challenge his Knights, but no one accepts the challenge until finally, Arthur stands up. Eventually, Sir Gawain accepts the challenge and has his reputation challenged along the way. When Sir Gawain became a knight, he promised to live by the Code of Chivalry just like I live my life by a set of rules. My code of honor shares similarities with the Code of Chivalry.

In this code, the knight has to be loyal to the king, give mercy to all and live a well-rounded life all together. n an article published by E-Learning Magazine, authors Denise Knight and Noralyn Masselink urge students to have call for Netiquette, in other words, proper etiquette when communicating to professors via email. Knight and Masselink believe that there are several fundamental problems about students not showing respect for their teachers in emails today. What Knight and Masselink demonstrates about the article is that students today aren’t doing before or after school meetings, phone calls with their teachers, and more via email, which the students use to talk about their grades, explain about their absences, questions about their homework or classwork. Which they fail to drop by outside of school hours to do other things. I’ve always believed that students should always have respect for their teachers the same way we respect our parents no matter what.

During the Medieval times chivalry was one of the most important characteristics a knight could display. Chivalry was viewed as a moral obligation that involved bravery, honor, respect, and gallantry. Knights were expected to uphold this code or face social consequences for any infractions, with punishments ranging from humiliation to termination of their knighthood. “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight” presents the struggles knights faced with honoring the chivalrous code at all times. Sir Gawain, while imperfect, exhibits qualities expected of knights and embodies the internal struggle between honoring the chivalrous code and giving into selfish desires.
The knights do everything right and they follow the rules. I think that you should believe in yourself and don 't care what nobody else thinks. The knight go by Gods rules and they follow them strictly and do everything Gods says I think that you are living by honor when you follow Gods rules strictly . A Code of Conduct In the Medieval era, aristocrats considered knights the nobility in feudal society. Arthurian Knights are equipped with weapons and armor, while partaking in violence and bloodshed. As highly skilled fighting men, they hold power over other members of society. The only way to restrain a knight’s actions is through chivalry, or a code of conduct they have to follow. Without chivalry, Gawain, the “Prologue” knight and the “Wife of Bath’s Tale” knight would not have been able to call themselves knights.
In Sir Gawain and The Green Knight, the characteristics of the ideal knight is represented by King Arthur’s court. However, it will be challenged by The Green Knight as well as Bertilak’s court. Sir Gawain would reach a new understanding that ideals would eventually remain as ideals and that he is human, therefore it is perfectly fine to feel weak. The clashes between religion and chivalry that defines the ideal knight in King Arthur’s court.
