In the different time period of America, the right of human be always the problem for the society. Different people in the different class use the different way to fight for their own rights. Through The House On Mango Street argues that if the woman wants to be independence, she needs to change their lives that do not similar to another woman. The main character in the novel is Esperanza. Esperanza made a conclusion by observing the life of his family and the life of the neighbors. Only do not live like another woman in order to make herself free. In the process, she got through the differences between the races, began to understand their own pursuit of the goal. For which she decided to leave Mango Street, completely out of the constraint of men, relying on their own. In this movie, Forrest Gump was a special child than another, because his IQ was only 75. It’s lower than the normal. However, he did not give up. He used his own way to prove he can do the same things like normal people. Like become the best American football player in the college and play table tennis with China to represent United Stated. However, both show that the people are discriminated and they fight for their own rights. Getting through the similar between The House On Mango Street and Forrest Gump, there is a couple of argument can be found. Like discrimination.
The difference between The House On Mango Street and Forrest Gump is family factors and society factors. In the movie Forrest Gump, there is a plot that his mother knew his son has the lower IQ than another child and their principal suggest Forrest Gump to study in the special school. It means the principal did not respect him and he also discriminated the lower IQ child.
