“Hero’s are made by the path they choose, not the power they are graced with.” - Brodi Ashton. Katniss Everdeen is the protagonist of this novel, who has to obey society’s unfair rules. Katniss chooses volunteers for her sister Primrose at the district 12 reaping to participate in a yearly event called The Hunger Games. She is forced to fight against the other tributes chosen from the other districts.
After both Katniss and Peeta win the Hunger Games, they return home and create a rebel party against the Capitol. Katniss and Peeta are drafted again into the 75th Hunger Games, and Katniss destroys the Hunger Games. In doing this, Peeta is captured by the Capitol and kept as a prisoner of war. In order to save Peeta and the Districts, Katniss unites the people against the Capitol. They form an army that passes through the security of the Capitol and saved Peeta.
Going from surviving to thriving In the fictional story The Game by Monica Hughes and the fictional movie The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins both main characters go on epic journeys using innovation, tenacity, and creativity to go from surviving to thriving. Tenacity is a form of determination. Tenacity was a much needed skill in both The Game and The Hunger Games in order for the characters to survive. Catching Fire, book two of the Hunger Games Trilogy, is a novel about two victors, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. The author's message is about joining together to overcome the things that control us. The two victors were chosen for the previous annual hunger games, because of tribute Katniss' stunt with the poisonous berries. An act, that was supposedly an act of love, was seen as defiance towards the Capitol. This resulted in rebellion and attempted uprisings.
The author was hinting at their problem throughout the story. The problem is Katniss Everdeen has to survive throughout the hunger games with her allies for her second year in a row and try to survive in a dome against 24 tributes. The theme the author developed in the story was no matter what stick up for ur friends and have their back and they will do the same for you. The author also used show don't tell by helping explain what they are about to do and help the readers understand. For example in the novel the author put more detail into their plan about how they are going to escape the dome.
“And right now, the most dangerous part of the Hunger Games is about to begin.” (Collins 359) This sentence towards the end of the young adult dystopian novel The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins is the culminating factor to the dangers of punishment. In this part of the book, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark have just won the Hunger Games. When the time comes to select two individuals from Katniss’s district, a young man named Peeta and Katniss’s sister are chosen. The Hunger Games is a book by the American author Suzanne Collins. It was published in 2008 this story is set by thinking in the future. The country that she is talking about is called Panem, were every person that lives here is really exotic and sophisticated, but not everything is nice on this story, there are twelve poor districts governed by the rich Capitol. There was a thirteenth district in the past but the Capitol destroyed them because they rebelled, this rebellions happens because the capital wants to keep them under his power. On this book you can notice the discrimination and the slavery.

It also tells us how we should take risks and sacrifice things for the people we care about. “I volunteer as tribute” this shows Katniss sacrificing her life for her younger sister Prim-Rose as she gets chosen to fight at the games.
