The Hunger Games vs. The US The Hunger Games is an adventurous yet somewhat violent trilogy that shows another side of what American government could turn into. The US government is slightly different from Panem’s government, but has similar qualities. Both take place in the United States and have a President, but Panem’s President is president until they die. Where as the US President is president for four years and then there is an election.
Dwight D. Eisenhower Dwight D. Eisenhower was known to be many things. He was a successful commanding general in Europe during the second World War and one of America’s most respected Presidents. One of his greatest achievements was his vision and ultimate creation of what is now known as Dwight D. Eisenhower System of Interstate and Defense Highways. Dwight D. Eisenhower was both a visionary and ethical leader because he knew the United States needed a safe and efficient Interstate Highway system and had a ‘Great Plan’ to achieve it. He put much thought and consideration into the positive and negative impacts of construction and the effects it could have on the greater good of the American public.

In the two novels there is a common theme, that the heroines in both novels are submissive characters. But the question is, are the two novelists are alike in their choice of words in describing the protagonist?
“I hate men who are afraid of women 's strength.” This quote symbolizes the fear characters felt from two wellknown female protagonists. In the actionstyled fantasy novel called The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins, Katniss Everdeen was chosen as a tribute for the 74th Hunger Games and has to fight her way out of the arena. She is exceptionally talented in her bow skills and her ability to survive in the wilderness. While the fantasy action themed novel, Divergent written by Veronica Roth showcases a 16 year old girl, called Tris and her unique and different mind.
Suzanne Collins, author of The Hunger Games, wrote a timeless classic in 2008. The story follows Katniss Everdeen who sacrifices her life for her younger sister and competes in an area in which they must be the last one standing, this is achieved through the death of other candidates. She uses her resilience to persevere through this trying time. Similarly, the movie Tomorrow When the War Began, produced by John Marsden (2010) follows the main character Ellie who must overcome adversities and show resilience to power through the unknown army that overthrows her town. It is clear that in the book, The Hunger Games, the film Tomorrow When the War Began, a common theme of resilience is significant to the respective stories.
There are details left out of the movie that were in the book, the movie doesn 't demonstrate the ongoing theme of hunger as well as the book does, and the the movie does a better job with
The Hunger Games and Pan’s Labyrinth are both popular dystopias, with one set in a fictional country and the other having a historical, real-world setting. The stories feature elements of control, oppression, and resistance throughout; causing the reader to believe that a perfect Utopia may be one of freedom, equality, and a willingness to cooperate. Both dystopias present oppressive, controlling societies. The Hunger Games' Panem is run by the Capitol, a city in the center of the country with states surrounding it. Pan’s Labyrinth is in a real-world setting featuring WWII-era Spain being controlled by military leader Capitan Vidal.
Hunger Games vs. Divergent Many people say that the Hunger games book series, and the Divergent book series are “the same”. In many ways The Hunger Games series and the Divergent series are alike, but there are also many ways that the series are different from one another. They both have similarities in the fact that they both take place in similar settings, and both have female protagonists that tell the story, and the protagonists also have love interests. Hunger Games and Divergent also have some major differences.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire exemplifies the epitome of a suspenseful action film full of redeeming qualities. Through the actions of vivid and memorable characters, the viewer may easily distinguish between the sympathetic and unsympathetic people in the movie. For example, when President Snow blackmails Katniss Everdeen and threatens to kill her family and friends unless she cooperates, the viewer grasps the fact that he is an arrogant, ambitious, and unjust ruler. On the other hand, viewers perceive Katniss, Peeta, Gale, and Katniss ' family as sympathetic, honorable, and sacrificial characters, especially when Katniss is willing to sacrifice her life for Peeta, and Peeta is willing to sacrifice his life for Katniss in the games.
On the other hand, there is Capitol who has political control in the nation of panem.
