The two main characters of the novel The Hunger Games are Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. They both take part in the 74th annual Hunger Games that is hosted by Caeasar Flickerman. The twelve districts of Panem provide a boy and a girl from each district to fight to the death in an arena.
