Peeta had a crush on Katniss ever since he was little, but she just needed a little push to make her realize how she really felt. Peeta remembered every little detail about Katniss and throughout the book, she began to realize how much she actually noticed. After they both almost committed suicide, Haymitch told Katniss that the Capitol was not happy with what they did. In front of the cameras, they say it was because of love, but that little act of rebellion saved both of their
